Poor??governance, lack of basic healthcare and national security; these are just a fraction of the issues Nigerians all over the country gathered to protest against, today,??6th of February.

The nationwide protest was initially organised and publicised by music veteran, TuFace (Innocent) Idibia. TuFace called for support on social media, from his fans and industry peers, to come together and speak out against the crippling economic state of the nation, amongst several other issues.

The call for action quickly gained traction – on and off social media – and became a movement overnight, with thousands of Nigerians pledging to join the protest, even after TuFace announced he would no longer be involved.

“Dear Nigerians!!! Due to security concerns and public safety consideration. I hereby announce the cancellation of the planned march,” he captioned his public statement.
