After 15 years, it’s safe to say history has been made with the highest paid models in the world. Kendall Jenner usurped the throne that Giselle Bündchen was sat on and is now the highest paid model in the world after raking in $22 million this year. Kendall Jenner usurped the throne and is now the highest paid model in the world.  Thanks to an Instagram account that lets her disseminate advertisements to 85 million followers, and deals with Estee Lauder, Adidas, and La Perla, among others in addition to her Kendall + Kylie clothing line and paychecks from her family’s reality TV show.

Here’s the list of the highest paid models.

NO.1 Kendall Jenner – $22 million

Overall, it seems like 2017 was an excellent year for Jenner, despite the distasteful Pepsi incident she was involved in earlier in the year. Fortunately for Jenner, it does not seem like it affected her millions.

NO.2 Giselle Bündchen – $17.5 million

37-year-old Bündchen comes in second, earning $17.5 million from posing for a Carolina Herrera fragrance and Arezzo shoes and Vivara jewellery in her native Brazil.

NO.3 Chrissy Teigen – $13.5 million

She joins the list for the first time rounding out the top three with $13.5 million. With an outsized social following, the former Sports Illustrated cover girl and foodie mints millions from deals beyond fashion, including adverts with beverage brands such as Vita Coco and Smirnoff.

NO.4 Adriana Lima – $10.5 million

Adriana Lima, number four, as t the face of the Marc Jacobs fragrance.

NO.5 Gigi Hadid – $9.5 million

Gigi Hadid sitting at the 5th position makes it the first time that siblings have appeared on the list together.

NO.6 Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – $9.5 million

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (tied with Gigi for number five, thanks to deals with Burberry fragrance, Moroccanoil, and her own cosmetics line).

NO.7 Karlie Kloss – $9 million

With a YouTube channel and forthcoming talk show on Freeform, she has leveraged a large social audience–some 12.6 million followers across platforms.

NO.8 Liu Wen – $6.5 million

Liu Wen who ranked at number eight and fronts campaigns for Estée Lauder. She is the only nonwhite model among the top 10.

NO.9 Bella Hadid – $6 million

Bella Hadid, who joins the top earner’s thanks to a busy year posing for more than a dozen brands including Dior makeup, Nike, and Nars cosmetics.

NO.10 Ashley Graham – $5.5 million

The key factors that helped Graham finally break through included the launch of her own lines for Dressbarn, Addition Elle and Swimsuits For All, as well as her campaigns for the likes of H&M and Lane Bryant. Graham has her own line for Addition Elle, Dressbarn, and Swimsuits For All, plus campaigns for Lane Bryant and H&M, among others.
