The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles played host to television’s biggest night on Sunday as the stars came dressed to impress hoping to take home an award at the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards 2017. The event is a treasured red carpet moment of awards season and the eclectic array of nominees showed up in everything from Chanel Haute Couture to custom Calvin Klein by Appointment. It may be Fashion Month, but the best looks aren’t just on the runways — they’re on the red carpet too.

Television’s elite walked down the red carpet in their most glamorous ensembles and we noticed a lovely splash of silver, like Gabrielle Union wow-ing us in lacy Zuhair Murad and Black-ish nominee Tracee Ellis Ross in Chanel Haute Couture. Big Little Lies nominee Nichole Kidman towered in red and Issa Rae in custom Vera Wang gave us scarlet envy. Other wide fashion spectrums came out to play at the annual bash to celebrate the best in US primetime TV.

The absence of Game of Thrones in the best drama category ensured another show would take an award and Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s classic dystopian novel fought off competition from other front-runners including The Crown, Stranger Things and This Is Us to make history by becoming the first show produced by a streaming site to take the evening’s most-coveted award.
