It is more important in this present time than ever to celebrate women – in all their strength, resilience and power. That’s exactly what Nigerian filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba seeks to do with her new interview-based TV series, featuring some of Nigeria’s most powerful women – average in their own eyes, but King Women in ours. (See the first teaser here.)
In the first episode, which Adetiba describes as “one of the most intense experiences of all of the King Women episodes,” she interviews journalist, television presenter and actress, Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett. “It felt like she had held my hand and walked me through 75 years of her life, and by the end of it, I was emotionally spent. That woman has led a remarkable life,” the producer says in the first few minutes of the video.
Watch as the first King Woman of many tells her story like never heard before.
